Obituary for Donald "Donny" Lange

Donald D. Lange passed away peacefully at Hopewest Hospice on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Donald was 60 years old. He was born on July 21, 1958 to Enda and Gerald Lange in Fruita Colorado.
Donald loved being around family members, and he believed family should help one another, having each other’s back, and doing no wrong to each other. Donald has three brothers, Gerald Lange (Valerie) of Grand Junction, James and David Lange of Mack, and his sister Elaine Southam (Dean) of Reno Nevada, his daughter Chartey John-Lange of Rock Springs Wy and son Dylan Lange of Grand Junction. Donald also had many nieces and nephews.
He loved going on long walks to see what nature was doing. He walked to the river so he could see the eagles nest, and how many babies would poke up their heads. One year he saw five of them with Mom and Dad eagle bringing them food. He loved taking care of his Mom’s peacocks and collecting their feathers. He also liked to work puzzles. He was completing one of the puzzles when he found that he was missing a piece. His Mom (Edna) cut out a piece from the box lid and did such a good job of it that you could not see the “faked” piece when looking at the completed puzzle. He would spend hours in the garden working for his Mom. He also liked to camp, hunt and fish.

His niece Misty use to ask him why he never gave her a cousin, like his brothers and sister had given her, and he told her that he was not going to get married or have kids. But one day he came up to her with a big grin on his face and told Misty that she had up a curse on him, when Misty asked what made him think that, he put his arms around her and told her she would be having a cousin from him after all.
Donald will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
