Obituary for Virgil J Kaley Jr.

Virgil J Kaley Jr.
On June 17, 2018 Virgil Joseph Kaley, Jr was called home to heaven, where he will meet up with family,
friends, and hunting partners that have went before him. Virgil leaves behind a great hole in all that
knew and loved him. He is survived by his one only wife, partner, and best friend his wife Sara Kaley of
Fruita. Also survived by his daughter Rosemary whom he most often referred to as Kid also of Fruita.
Also left behind are his brother Jim and sister Ina both of Grand Juncton. He went in peace and on his
own terms at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Virgil referred to himself frequently in terms of “dozer hands are a dime a dozen and I'm number 13"
but anyone who every saw him climb behind the controls of a piece of equipment knew he could and
did work magic with heavy equipment. Virgil was a proud member of International Operating Engineers
Local #9 for over 50 years.
Virgil was a true Renaissance Man. From a drink everyone under the table hard working hard playing
heavy equipment operator to a Cookie Dad in Girl Scouts. He touched the lives of all who knew him in
unique ways. He will be missed by all!
Go in peace Daddy and take my love to everyone, give all the fur babies extra treats, please.
Love, Kid
